Life is
Good!

Thanks for turning onto my little spur of the
information highway.
I'm 43 and enjoying life in
Naperville, one of
Chicago's far west suburbs. It is a great place to be in the summer
months. But I make a point of traveling to warmer climates in
the colder months. That is what most of my trip log is about. That is a
continuing work., making updates every few months.
I am grateful to be in a situation where
I can travel frequently. I use that privilege going to a motorhome that resides in
warmer areas of the country. I think of it as a winter home on
wheels. I really enjoy outdoor activities. By
leaving the cold weather, in Illinois, I can have fun rollerblading, hiking and flying this crazy
powered paraglider to the right.
If I am not doing something
outdoors or on a trip, most of my time is spent in front of my computer
reading scientific articles. I also devote a good portion of my free time to
USPPA, a non-profit organization
for powered paragliding. I deal with memberships, emails, voicemails
etc. I enjoy helping people so it's fulfilling.
I'm
also doing my part for the economy - shopping. I like technology and
the gadgets that come forth. If it has a remote control, I want it. As a kid I enjoyed collecting coins and
have now taken it up in a small way again spending real money for
collectable money. Who knows maybe in 20 years I'll retire based on
the eBay receipts from selling some of these goodies. In the
meantime it's fun to own a piece of the "action".
I do enjoy sharing my adventures. Therein lies the
problem, making time to update the website. I started it in 2004 and
have a lot of pictures and stories to add. For now I am only adding
current trips. Feel free to comment or point out grammatical errors, no
offense will be taken.
Why an internet site anyway? Well, it's only $15 per year, a friend
suggested it, did most of the initial work, and it's kind of fun. Plus if
I ever forget who I am somebody can just point me here.
