Thanks for turning onto my little spur of the
information highway.
I'm 42 and enjoying life in Naperville, one of
Chicago's far west suburbs. It is a great place to be in the summer
months. But I make a point of traveling to warmer climates in
the colder months. That is what most of my trip log is about. I am way
behind on updates. My motivation to make updates varies and I find
myself so busy sometimes it just takes a back seat.
I am grateful to be in a situation where
I am able to fly for free. I use that privilege to travel to a motorhome that resides in
warmer areas of the country. I really enjoy outdoor activities. By
leaving the cold weather in Illinois I can have fun rollerblading, hiking and flying this crazy
powered paraglider to the right.
If I am not doing something outdoors or on a trip, most of my time is spent in front of my computer.
I devote a good portion of my free time to
USPPA, a non-profit organization
for powered paragliding. I deal with memberships, emails, voicemails
etc. I enjoy helping people so it's fulfilling.
I have never been one to have a lot friends.
By choice I would just find a few good friends to hang with and that's
it. That has changed. I now find that making friends through the
internet has become fun. I just never knew what I was missing. It's fun meeting new
people. Some have become close friends while others I see only every so
often.
I'm
also doing my part for the economy - shopping. I like technology and
the gadgets that come forth. If it has a remote control, I want it. As a kid I enjoyed collecting coins and
have now taken it up in a small way again spending real money for
collectable money. Who knows maybe in 20 years I'll retire based on
the eBay receipts from selling some of these goodies. In the
meantime it's fun to own a piece of the "action".
Why an internet site anyway? Well, it's only $12 per year, a friend
suggested it, did most of the initial work, and it's kind of cool. Plus if
I ever forget who I am somebody can just point me here.
