Local Enterprise Trip
The Enterprise doesn't normally reside at the house. But because it spent last winter in Florida and we wanted to take it west next winter. So it made a stop at home for the summer. Having a motorhome at the house makes for some fun local adventures. This would be the most notable of the summer.

Our original plan was to circle Lake Michigan taking a ferry across at one point. One of our stops was to be a soaring area in Traverse City but the winds were not favorable and it added quit a bit more drive time to our trip. So we opted not to go there and circle the lake, but we still had a blast.

On the way to Michigan we stopped at the Indiana Dunes and Jeff did a little soaring. I made two glides down but was unwilling to climb back up to the top carrying all my gear. Jeff is way more motivated than me when it comes to this. It was a lot of fun for the short amount of air time I got.

Even though we changed our route plans we stayed in Michigan to do some touristy stuff in between flying. The highlights of the trip were stops in Holland, Saugatuck, New Haven and New Buffalo. It was my first time to any of these well known tourist spots. We did do a little walking around Saugatuck (serious tourist trap) but neither one of us are into the artsy stuff so it was more amusing than anything. We did have gelato (Italian ice cream) for the first time in Saugatuck and we did some prop repairs in a parking lot downtown.
