The trip to Florida was prompted by the fact I had a plane ticket that
was going to expire at the end of January. I didn't want to use up any
vacation time but I couldn't let it go to waste. There were several
people around the country I wanted to go and spend some time with. I even
had an offer to stay at a friends place in San Diego while he was gone.
I ended up making the decision based on weather. Florida was going to be
the best place for a nice weather getaway.
This was an unusual trip for me in several ways. Jeff wasn't with me,
he had gone to
Mexico for a paramotor trip. This would be my first time staying on
the motorhome by myself. I really thought I would get bored. It turns
out I liked it. Being 41 you would think I would have gone on some kind
of trip out of state on my own before. This was my first time.
I visited with Paul Czarnecki at a small airport on the island were
he does his ppg training. He had a few students and I was impressed with
his training skills.
There was a sidewalk on the main street that ran the length of the
island. I couldn't come to this nice weather and not rollerblade now
could I? That was the highlight of my 2 day visit on Pine Island.
This was a very short trip and the only pictures I took were of the
sidewalk I rollerbladed on and a Pelican in Fort Myers Beach.
